The data source compiles all the answers saved on the selected script. Prerequisites <\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For an overview of the Reporter, please consult <a href=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/index.php\/help-center\/reporter-an-overview\/\">this article<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The script must have been created beforehand in the Maker, ad its questions configured. A script cannot be created from the data source form.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">For answers to be saved , and therefore for the data source to contain anything, the script must be attached to a distribution queue or to a voice campaign, and advisors must have used it during their interactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You also need the following permissions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Access to the <strong>Reporter<\/strong>, and the right to read data sources.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The right to create, edit and delete data sources.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The right to export, in order to generate an export.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: the number of data sources you can create is limited per platform. The corresponding limit is &#8216;Number of data sources&#8217;.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Using a script as a data source<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.1 Access this feature<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To access this feature, go to the <strong>Reporter<\/strong>, click on the &#8216;<strong>Data sources<\/strong>&#8216; module and then select the &#8216;<strong>Scripts<\/strong>&#8216; category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.2 Create the data source<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Click on &#8216;<strong>Create<\/strong>&#8216; to create a data source, then fill in the form:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Name<\/strong>: required, 255 characters maximum.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Description<\/strong>: optional, 255 characters maximum.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Data source type<\/strong>: keep &#8216;<strong>Internal<\/strong>&#8216;, which creates a data source from the data created in INO CX.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Origin of the data source<\/strong>: select &#8216;<strong>Script<\/strong>&#8216;.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Script<\/strong>: select the script whose answers you want to analyse.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Click on &#8216;<strong>Add the data source<\/strong>&#8216; to finish.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: you can create several data sources based on the same script, and two data sources can carry the same name.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: the script you select cannot be changed afterwards. To analyse another script, create a new data source.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Open the data source you have just created. The answers are displayed in columns: one column per question and per final question of the script, plus the columns managed by the platform (see the Columns section below).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3 Using the script data<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.1 Select the period<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When you open the data source, only the answers recorded during the current day are displayed. To analyse another period, change the filter on the &#8216;<strong>Script date<\/strong>&#8216; column in the side panel, which opens automatically.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: for this type of data source, the filter on the script date is always applied. It can be changed, but not removed.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.2 Filter the data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Click on &#8216;<strong>Add filter<\/strong>&#8216; to restrict the answers displayed further. The number of results is updated accordingly.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The question columns hold the answer chosen by the advisor, as text, so they are filtered on a close expression.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A filter can be locked as a default filter so that it is applied every time the data source is opened.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: if you have changed the answer options of a question, the filter offers both the former and the current options, since the answers already saved keep the wording they had at the time.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.3 Adjust the data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On each column header, three actions are available:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Filter the column<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Modify the column, to rename it<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hide the column<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Columns can also be reordered by drag and drop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: on the data source interface, renaming, hiding and reordering are not kept. To save your presentation, save the data source as an exploration.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: a column used by a key performance indicator, by a partitioning or as an active filter cannot be hidden. The interface indicates the reason.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.4 Resynchronize the columns<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When a question or a final question is added to the script in the Maker, the corresponding column is not added automatically to the existing data sources. Click on the cogwheel at the top right, then &#8216;<strong>Resynchronize columns<\/strong>&#8216;. The interface indicates the number of columns that have been added, or informs you that there is nothing new to add.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">This feature is linked to the \u2018<strong><strong>Modification<\/strong><\/strong>\u2019 permission in the role.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: resynchronization only adds the missing columns. A question renamed in the script keeps its former name as a column name, and the column of a question deleted from the script is kept, with the answers already recorded.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.5 Use the data<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You have several options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Export the data<\/strong> (on the cogwheel): choose the decimal separator, a point or a comma, then confirm. The export is generated in the background. It becomes available on the &#8216;<strong>Exports<\/strong>&#8216; module after a few moments and remains available for 7 days. Only one export can be generated at a time.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Save as an exploration<\/strong> (floppy disk): your current filters and columns are saved as a new exploration, which you can then use in the &#8216;<strong>Exploration<\/strong>&#8216; module and on your dashboards.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: in the exported file, each question column carries the name of the question followed by a mention of its origin, and the columns managed by the platform appear under their stored name, which can differ from the name displayed in the interface.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: on an exploration built on a script data source, the key performance indicators must be created from scratch, since no indicator template is offered for this type of data source.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.6 Modify or delete the data source<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From the tile of a data source, in the &#8216;<strong>Data sources<\/strong>&#8216; module:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>&#8216;<strong>Modify<\/strong>&#8216; allows you to change the name and the description. The type, the origin and the linked script cannot be modified.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8216;<strong>History<\/strong>&#8216; displays the creations and modifications recorded on the data source.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>&#8216;<strong>Delete<\/strong>&#8216; removes the data source permanently.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: a data source used by an exploration cannot be deleted. Delete the explorations built on it first.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.7 Columns<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Four columns are managed by the platform.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Response ID<\/strong>: the unique ID of the recorded answer.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Script date<\/strong>: the date and time the script was recorded.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Script<\/strong>: the script used.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Queue<\/strong>: the distribution queue through which the interaction arrived (if used).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Smart routing<\/strong>: the SR queue through which the interaction arrived (if used).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>User<\/strong> (additional): the advisor who followed the script.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Interaction ID<\/strong> (additional): the unique ID of the interaction.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every other column corresponds to a question or to a final question of the script, and carries the name given to it in the Maker. A second line under the name indicates whether the column comes from a question or from a final question.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: a question the advisor did not go through displays an empty cell.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: if the same question is answered several times during the same interaction, each one is displayed in its own column.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[Reading time: 4 minutes] Overview This functionality allows you to transform the answers recorded by your advisors when they follow a script into a data source.
