Then, in a voice smart routing, you add the\u00a0<strong>Speech recognition (ASR)<\/strong>\u00a0action and select that dictionary. During the call your customer speaks, the\u00a0<strong>reference<\/strong>\u00a0of the recognized word is stored in a variable, and you use it for the rest of the journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Configuration is done in the Maker, under&nbsp;<strong>Toolbox &gt; Speech recognition<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note:<\/em>\u00a0<em><strong>Only available in France<\/strong>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.&nbsp;Prerequisites<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">To create and use dictionaries you need:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>a\u00a0<strong>Smart<\/strong>\u00a0licence;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the\u00a0<strong>Speech recognition<\/strong>\u00a0rights enabled on your role. They are set on the\u00a0<strong>role<\/strong>, not on the user profile: open the role, go to the\u00a0<strong>Toolbox<\/strong>\u00a0part and look for\u00a0<strong>Speech recognition<\/strong>\u00a0in the list. The message\u00a0<em>&#8220;The dictionary has been successfully created.&#8221;<\/em>\u00a0confirms it.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The available fields are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Name<\/strong>: the dictionary name (required, 255 characters maximum).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reference<\/strong>: required, 45 characters maximum. It fills in on its own from the name, in capitals and without accents, and you can change it. Write the word the way it sounds, with spelling mistakes if needed. Unaccented letters and spaces only.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Reference<\/strong>: this is the value stored in your variable when the word is recognized (required, 45 characters maximum). It fills in on its own from the name and stays editable.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Alias<\/strong>: optional, used for statistics (45 characters maximum). Letters, digits, spaces and the 3 characters\u00a0<strong>_ . &#8211;<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The keyword list then shows the columns&nbsp;<strong>Name<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Pronunciation of the word<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Code<\/strong>&nbsp;(the keyword reference) and&nbsp;<strong>Alias<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note:&nbsp;the&nbsp;<strong>Pronunciation of the word<\/strong>&nbsp;is used to listen, the&nbsp;<strong>Reference<\/strong>&nbsp;is used to decide. The&nbsp;<strong>I want<\/strong>&nbsp;field offers three possibilities:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>to use a dictionary<\/strong>: you pick the dictionary from the list, in the\u00a0<strong>Dictionary<\/strong>\u00a0field;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>to use dictionary with its reference<\/strong>: you type the\u00a0<strong>Dictionary reference<\/strong>, handy when the reference comes from a variable;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>to recognize &#8220;yes&#8221; \/ &#8220;no&#8221;<\/strong>: there is no dictionary to prepare. Recognition is done on yes and no in the language of the interaction, and the variable receives the matching value, for example\u00a0<em>yes<\/em>\u00a0or\u00a0<em>no<\/em>\u00a0for a call in English.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note:&nbsp;the form displays this warning, which applies here too: &#8220;Warning: If the corresponding entity is deleted or if its reference is modified, this action will no longer work.&#8221;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"545\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Capture-decran-2026-08-20-a-13.24.35-1024x545.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6864\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Capture-decran-2026-08-20-a-13.24.35-1024x545.png 1024w, https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Capture-decran-2026-08-20-a-13.24.35-300x160.png 300w, https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Capture-decran-2026-08-20-a-13.24.35-768x408.png 768w, https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Capture-decran-2026-08-20-a-13.24.35-50x27.png 50w, https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Capture-decran-2026-08-20-a-13.24.35-1536x817.png 1536w, https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Capture-decran-2026-08-20-a-13.24.35-2048x1089.png 2048w, https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Capture-decran-2026-08-20-a-13.24.35-60x32.png 60w, https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2026\/08\/Capture-decran-2026-08-20-a-13.24.35-100x53.png 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.2.&nbsp;Storing the result in a variable<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Choose the&nbsp;<strong>Variable<\/strong>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<strong>Field<\/strong>&nbsp;that will receive the result. The form spells it out:&nbsp;<em>&#8220;in which to insert the CODE of the recognized dictionary word&#8221;<\/em>. So it is the&nbsp;<strong>reference of the recognized keyword<\/strong>&nbsp;that is stored, not the spoken word.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.3.&nbsp;What the person on the phone experiences<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">When the call reaches the action, a&nbsp;<strong>beep<\/strong>&nbsp;is played to signal that your customer can speak. The recording stops on its own after&nbsp;<strong>2 seconds of silence<\/strong>, and lasts&nbsp;<strong>5 seconds at most<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.4.&nbsp;The action output branches<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The action offers four output branches to connect in your smart routing:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><tbody><tr><th class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">Output branch<\/th><th class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">When it is taken<\/th><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\"><strong>Recognized<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">A keyword from the dictionary was recognized. Its reference is stored in the chosen variable.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\"><strong>Unrecognized<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">The person spoke, but the word was not recognized with enough certainty.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\"><strong>Error<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">The recognition could not be completed.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\"><strong>Reference not found<\/strong><\/td><td class=\"has-text-align-left\" data-align=\"left\">The requested dictionary cannot be found, for example because it was deleted or because the reference does not exist.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Always plan what happens on&nbsp;<strong>Unrecognized<\/strong>, for instance a second attempt or a transfer to an advisor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4.&nbsp;Speech recognition in surveys<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can also collect a spoken answer in a survey, without creating a dictionary.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">On a&nbsp;<strong>Multiple choice question<\/strong>&nbsp;or a&nbsp;<strong>Yes\/no question<\/strong>, the&nbsp;<strong>Input type<\/strong>&nbsp;field offers:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Numeric keys<\/strong>: the person presses a key;<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Speech recognition<\/strong>: the person answers out loud. On a multiple choice question, recognition is done by a number from 0 to 9; on a yes\/no question, it is done by Yes\/No.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.&nbsp;Managing your dictionaries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.1.&nbsp;Searching and duplicating<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The list search is carried out on the&nbsp;<strong>name<\/strong>&nbsp;and the&nbsp;<strong>reference<\/strong>&nbsp;of the dictionary. From the&nbsp;<strong>Options<\/strong>&nbsp;menu on a row,&nbsp;<strong>Duplicate<\/strong>&nbsp;saves you from typing an existing dictionary or keyword again.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.2.&nbsp;Deleting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Deleting a dictionary also deletes&nbsp;<strong>all of its keywords<\/strong>, and nothing can be retrieved. You can also select several rows and delete them at once.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.3.&nbsp;Exporting<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Export dictionaries<\/strong>&nbsp;launches an export containing the name, the reference and the creation and modification dates. A message confirms the launch, and the file appears in your&nbsp;<strong>Exports<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.4.&nbsp;Limits<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Depending on your offer, the number of dictionaries and the number of keywords per dictionary can be limited.
