Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

For SMS sending to work on INO CX, an external SMS provider must be configured at the client account level. This provider handles the delivery of SMS messages to recipients.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

  • Administrator access to the Maker<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • The URL and credentials provided by your external SMS provider<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    1. Accessing SMS settings<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    1. Open the Maker<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    2. Go to Client account settings<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    3. Select SMS Settings<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

      2. Configuring the SMS provider<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

      2.1. Provider URL<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      Enter the URL to which INO CX will send SMS data for processing by your provider. The URL must start with https:\/\/<\/code>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      2.2. Authentication<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

      If your provider requires authentication:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      1. Enable the authentication option<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      2. Enter the login<\/strong> and password<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
      3. Click Test connection<\/strong> to validate the credentials before saving<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

        Note: the login field accepts letters, numbers, and the following special characters: _ + . @ -<\/code><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

        3. Data format sent to the provider<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Each time an SMS is sent, INO CX transmits the following data to the provider in JSON format:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Field<\/th>Description<\/th><\/tr><\/thead>
        type<\/code><\/td>SMS type: NOTIFICATION<\/strong> (transactional \u2014 appointment confirmations, payment notifications, delivery tracking, etc.) or MARKETING<\/strong> (promotional \u2014 may require an opt-out clause such as “STOP” for GDPR compliance). If the sender<\/code> field is not set, the type automatically switches to MARKETING.<\/td><\/tr>
        sender<\/code><\/td>Custom sender name as configured in INO CX<\/td><\/tr>
        to<\/code><\/td>Recipient phone number in international format<\/td><\/tr>
        retId<\/code><\/td>Unique INO CX identifier associated with the send \u2014 do not modify<\/td><\/tr>
        isUnicode<\/code><\/td>true<\/code> if the message contains Unicode characters (accents, emojis, etc.), which reduces capacity from 160 to 70 characters per credit<\/td><\/tr>

        credits<\/code><\/td>Number of SMS credits consumed by this send<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n
