Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Conversations<\/strong> tab lets you communicate directly with colleagues or in groups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

It centralizes internal messaging, calls, and video conferences within the small Banner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Accessing conversations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To use the Conversations tab, you must have Access to conversations<\/strong> set to Yes<\/em> in your profile settings. Once enabled, the tab becomes available in the small Banner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Main display<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Conversations tab displays two sections:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Direct conversations<\/strong>: one-to-one exchanges with a colleague (up to 20 conversations).<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Group conversations<\/strong>: discussions involving three to fifteen people (up to 20 conversations).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Each conversation shows the participants, and a status indicator for direct conversations’ user:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Green<\/strong>: online<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Yellow<\/strong>: away<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Red<\/strong>: busy<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Grey<\/strong>: offline<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      Additional indicators appear depending on the state of the conversation:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        \n
      • A mute icon<\/strong> if the conversation is muted.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • A red badge<\/strong> showing the number of unread messages both next to the conversation and on the Conversations tab icon in the Banner.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        3. Actions in a conversation<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

        Inside a conversation, you can perform the following actions:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

          \n
        • Send and edit\/delete messages<\/strong>: you may edit or delete your own messages within 5 minutes after sending.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Save messages<\/strong>: messages can be saved for later.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • React with emojis<\/strong>: quickly respond using emoji reactions.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Reply to a message<\/strong>: quote a message in your response.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Mute or unmute<\/strong> the conversation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Rename<\/strong> a group conversation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Leave<\/strong> a group conversation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Add participants<\/strong>: include new members in an ongoing group or restart a past conversation.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          At the top right of a conversation, several buttons are available:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \n
          1. Start a video call<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          2. Mute the conversation.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          3. Add a participant.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          4. Start a voice call<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          5. Open saved messages, and for group conversations, leave or rename the conversation.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n

            4. Creating conversations<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

            New conversations can only be created from the Conversations tab in the small banner. You can start:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              \n
            • Direct conversations<\/strong> with colleagues from your own team or from a public team.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Group conversations<\/strong> including members from your team or any public team.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              When adding someone to a group, you can choose between:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                \n
              • Resuming the conversation<\/strong>: restoring its title and full history.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Starting a new conversation<\/strong>: beginning fresh with the selected participants.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                5. Conversation management<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                Conversations can be closed at any time. Closing does not delete the conversation history:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                • If you delete a conversation from your list, it disappears locally but reappears if you write to the same person again.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
