They help organize and filter tasks into broad groups like &#8220;Calls to process,&#8221; &#8220;Ticket follow-up,&#8221; or &#8220;Administrative tasks,&#8221; providing structure for an overall view.<\/p>\n<p>Create all your categories in Maker&#8217;s \u201cCategories\u201d sub-module.<\/p>\n<p>\u26a0\ufe0f <em>Every type you create will be available in the Banner by default, for all Profiles.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-3866 aligncenter\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/TASKS-1.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"188\" height=\"185\" \/><\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:22px\">Types<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Task type<\/strong> defines the nature of a task and how it&#8217;s performed, such as &#8220;Call,&#8221; &#8220;email,&#8221; &#8220;Meeting,&#8221; or &#8220;Support Ticket.&#8221; It highlights the method or format of the task, helping differentiate the required intervention.<\/p>\n\n\n<p><em>Note: Types can be system (set up by INO) or custom (set up by you), and each of them can be linked to a specific channel (voice, email, text message) or none.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:22px\">Categories VS types<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To sum up, <strong>categories<\/strong> are general groupings that help structure work, while <strong>types<\/strong> describe the form or content of each task. A specific task can belong to a category (e.g. \u201cIncoming calls\u201d) and have a type (e.g. \u201cPhone call\u201d).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" style=\"font-size:26px\">Giving access (Maker)<\/h2>\n\n\n<p>Each task right is managed in the Profile (Maker): access, creation, edition and deletion. If the access is revoked, <strong>the dedicated module won&#8217;t appear in your Banner at all<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter wp-image-3869\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/09\/TASKS-SET-UP.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"455\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Then, you will have to associate one or more categories to the profile via the &#8220;Configuration&#8221; tab. Otherwise, agents won&#8217;t be able to create new tasks in the Banner.<\/p>\n<p>Congratulations!
