Configuration has two parts:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The&nbsp;<strong>Tasks<\/strong>&nbsp;module of the Maker, where you manage task&nbsp;<strong>Categories<\/strong>&nbsp;and task&nbsp;<strong>Types<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The&nbsp;<strong>user profiles<\/strong>, where you grant access to the Tasks module and choose which categories each profile can work with.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>This article covers the configuration. Where to configure tasks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the Maker, open the&nbsp;<strong>Tasks<\/strong>&nbsp;module. Creating a task category<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the Maker, go to&nbsp;<strong>Tasks<\/strong>&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;<strong>Categories<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Create<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill in the following fields:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Field<\/th><th>Description<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Name<\/strong><\/td><td>Name of the category (e.g. &#8220;Call-back&#8221;, &#8220;Administrative follow-up&#8221;).<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Reference<\/strong><\/td><td>A unique reference for the category. It must be unique and may contain letters, digits and the special characters&nbsp;<code>_+.@-<\/code>.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Add the task category<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: an existing category can be modified, duplicated (<strong>Copy the task category<\/strong>) or deleted from the Categories list.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Creating a task type<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the Maker, go to&nbsp;<strong>Tasks<\/strong>&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;<strong>Types<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>New task type<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill in the following fields:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Field<\/th><th>Description<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Name<\/strong><\/td><td>Name of the task type.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Reference<\/strong><\/td><td>A unique reference for the type (same format rule as for categories).<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Flow<\/strong><\/td><td>Classifies the type by channel:&nbsp;<strong>None<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Voice<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>Email<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>SMS<\/strong>. See the note below about the SMS flow.<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Add the task type<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A task type has a status, shown in the Types list as&nbsp;<strong>Active<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>Inactive<\/strong>. From the list you can&nbsp;<strong>Activate<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>Deactivate<\/strong>&nbsp;a type, as well as modify, duplicate or delete it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note about the SMS flow: when a type&#8217;s flow is&nbsp;<strong>SMS<\/strong>, tasks created with that type offer a&nbsp;<strong>Trigger mode<\/strong>&nbsp;(Automatic or Manual) and a single trigger date, instead of the usual start\/end dates. This trigger date is only used to&nbsp;<strong>schedule and find<\/strong>&nbsp;the task \u2014 it does not send an SMS or raise a banner notification on its own. System task types<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A set of&nbsp;<strong>system task types<\/strong>&nbsp;is provided out of the box. They are read-only: you cannot modify, delete or select them \u2014 only your own custom types can be edited.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>System type<\/th><th>Flow<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Email<\/strong><\/td><td>Email<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>SMS<\/strong><\/td><td>SMS<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Reminder<\/strong><\/td><td>Voice<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Payment<\/strong><\/td><td>None<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Salesforce Request<\/strong><\/td><td>None<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Other<\/strong><\/td><td>None<\/td><\/tr><\/tbody><\/table><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Giving users access to tasks<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A user works with tasks through their&nbsp;<strong>user profile<\/strong>. Two things must be set on the profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4.1. Task rights<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the user profile, open the&nbsp;<strong>Tasks<\/strong>&nbsp;section and set:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Right<\/th><th>Effect<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Access tasks<\/strong><\/td><td>Gives access to the Tasks module in the banner. Associating task categories<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A profile only sees and creates tasks in the categories it is associated with.
