KPIs types<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There are 7 KPI types, all of them explained in the following subsections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>By default, all KPIs cannot include more than 5 different data (abscissas and custom data).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"single-value-square\">Single value square<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The most simple KPI, a single value displayed in a square. You can change the color and icon to customize it a little.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2878\" height=\"1624\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Capture-de\u0301cran-2025-06-19-a\u0300-12.02.14.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5136\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"multi-line\">Multi line<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A multi-line chart is used to <strong>track the evolution of multiple data series over time<\/strong>, and to <strong>easily compare their trends<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For a multi line KPI, you will always need&nbsp;<strong>two<\/strong>&nbsp;item types, and the 1st one will always be an&nbsp;<strong>abscissa<\/strong>. You can also choose to use stacked charts for specific columns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2880\" height=\"1624\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Capture-de\u0301cran-2025-06-19-a\u0300-11.53.07.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5135\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"pie-chart\">Pie chart<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A pie chart is used to <strong>visualize the distribution of a whole into parts<\/strong>. Each slice represents a <strong>category<\/strong>, with its size proportional to its value.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2880\" height=\"1624\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Capture-de\u0301cran-2025-06-19-a\u0300-11.48.47.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5134\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In order to create it, you will need an abcsissa (data groups) and a calculated data (value).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"sunburst\">Sunburst<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A sunburst chart is used to <strong>visualize hierarchical data<\/strong> in a circular layout. Each level of the hierarchy is shown as a ring, making it easy to <strong>compare categories and subcategories<\/strong> at a glance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2878\" height=\"1624\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Capture-de\u0301cran-2025-06-19-a\u0300-11.44.53.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5133\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"table\">Table<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can display a summary table qui s&#8217;appuie sur une raw data (distribution date in our example below) and up to 4 calculated data. Each column can be assigned a specific color for quick identification.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2880\" height=\"1622\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Capture-de\u0301cran-2025-06-19-a\u0300-11.00.51.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5130\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"region-map\">Region chart<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>You can choose to display the data on a map of Europe, or of the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2880\" height=\"1626\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Capture-de\u0301cran-2025-06-19-a\u0300-16.40.23.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5138\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You can use any calculated data with this KPI.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"local-map\">Country chart<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>For France, you can visualize it by its departments. Data can be displayed for 3 countries (France, Spain, Portugal) by region or department (France only) within the country.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2878\" height=\"1624\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Capture-de\u0301cran-2025-06-19-a\u0300-16.53.43.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5139\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"heat-map\">Heat map<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The heatmap lets you see at a glance the point of convergence of the data, thanks to an abscissa, an ordinate and a calculated data. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2880\" height=\"1610\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Capture-de\u0301cran-2025-06-19-a\u0300-11.09.20.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5131\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>It is usually advised to use a date-type data as abscissa.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"boxplot\">Boxplot<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>The boxplot is used to represent&nbsp;<strong>the data dispersion<\/strong>: the median, quartiles, maximum and minimum.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2876\" height=\"1616\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Capture-de\u0301cran-2025-06-19-a\u0300-11.25.16.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5132\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Adding a KPI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To add a new KPI, click the <strong>+ Create<\/strong> button at the top of the <em>KPIs<\/em> tab within your exploration.<br>You\u2019ll have two options:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Option 1: From a list of preconfigured KPIs<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>If your exploration was created using the <strong>\u201cpreconfigured KPIs\u201d<\/strong> option, you\u2019ll be able to select from a list of ready-to-use KPI templates.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"597\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Capture-decran-2026-02-26-a-09.59.30-1024x597.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-6144\" srcset=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Capture-decran-2026-02-26-a-09.59.30-1024x597.png 1024w, https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Capture-decran-2026-02-26-a-09.59.30-300x175.png 300w, https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Capture-decran-2026-02-26-a-09.59.30-768x448.png 768w, https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Capture-decran-2026-02-26-a-09.59.30-50x29.png 50w, https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Capture-decran-2026-02-26-a-09.59.30-1536x896.png 1536w, https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Capture-decran-2026-02-26-a-09.59.30-2048x1194.png 2048w, https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Capture-decran-2026-02-26-a-09.59.30-60x35.png 60w, https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/10\/Capture-decran-2026-02-26-a-09.59.30-100x58.png 100w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: KPI templates do not concern customized explorations (e.g. cases) because they are entities created by you.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you need more details on KPIs, see the article <a href=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/index.php\/help-center\/terms-and-vocabulary\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/index.php\/help-center\/terms-and-vocabulary\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Terms and vocabulary<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Option 2: Create a KPI from scratch<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>This opens a KPI creation panel where you can fully configure the indicator.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In the left panel:<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Name your KPI<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Select the KPI type<\/strong>, which defines the shape or visualization (e.g. multi line, pie chart, table, etc.)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Choose whether the data should <strong>refresh in real time<\/strong>, and if so, set the refresh interval in seconds<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add the necessary data <strong>items<\/strong> (from right panel, items tab) using drag-and-drop<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Items  \/ Calculated data<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p>Colored dots next to the fields indicate the type of item expected. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are 4 item types corresponding to 4 colors:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>yellow: data groups<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>purple: boxplot<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>turquoise: calculated data<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>red: formulas<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Make sure to select the correct type in the <strong>Items<\/strong> tab (right panel) and drag it to the left panel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Example: In the left panel, next to &#8220;Level no. 1&#8221; a yellow circle indicates that you must drag and drop an item with a yellow color from the right panel, items tab. KPI Limits<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>There is a <a href=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/index.php\/help-center\/limits-client-account-settings\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/index.php\/help-center\/limits-client-account-settings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">maximum number of KPI<\/a>s allowed per exploration.<br>This limit is managed via the <strong>Maker<\/strong>, from client account settings.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"2298\" height=\"1108\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Capture-de\u0301cran-2025-06-19-a\u0300-17.21.44.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5141\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Refreshing a KPI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To manually refresh a KPI, click the <strong>refresh icon<\/strong> (circular arrow) located above the KPI tile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"528\" height=\"442\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Capture-de\u0301cran-2025-06-19-a\u0300-17.24.23.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5143\" style=\"width:250px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Editing a KPI<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Click the <strong>pencil icon<\/strong> above the KPI to reopen the configuration panel and make changes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"556\" height=\"454\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Capture-de\u0301cran-2025-06-19-a\u0300-17.25.27.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5144\" style=\"width:250px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: if you modify a template KPI, you can always re-add the KPI as it was before it was modified.<\/em> <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Changing the Layout<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To rearrange the position of KPIs on the screen, click <strong>Change the layout<\/strong>.<br>You can drag and drop KPIs to organize them as needed for clearer viewing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: You can leave spaces between the different KPIs, which will be retained when you save.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">9.
