It enables you to analyze a data source by displaying it as:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>A dynamic list of values<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Scheduled reports (see dedicated article)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1598\" height=\"1236\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/undraw_financial-data_lbci.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5108\" style=\"width:300px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>Explorations can be used to gain insight into your operational data and build custom dashboards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">I-Access rights<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>To access and manage Explorations, a user must have the appropriate permissions in their <strong>Role<\/strong>, configured in the <em>Maker<\/em>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Required access (via role settings)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Users must have access to:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>The Reporter module<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Data sources<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Explorations<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Two additional permissions specific to explorations can be granted in the Role:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Create<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Export<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Other access rights are managed directly in the <em>Reporter<\/em>, at the individual Exploration level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Owner vs guest rights<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>When creating an exploration, the creator automatically becomes an <strong>owner<\/strong>. They can then invite other users as <strong>guests<\/strong>, either during creation or later on. A guest can be converted into an owner by another owner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1054\" height=\"202\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Capture-de\u0301cran-2025-06-18-a\u0300-09.59.51.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5119\" style=\"width:400px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Owners<\/strong> can:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Create, modify, and delete KPIs and scheduled reports<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Add or remove guests and co-owners<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Apply additional column-based partitioning<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Guests<\/strong> can:\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>View the exploration and all its columns<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Duplicate the exploration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Access KPIs and scheduled reports<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Create dashboards<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>View the list of users and their permissions (read-only)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>View column partitioning settings (read-only)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Admin role<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>A user with the <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/index.php\/help-center\/administrator-admin-reporter\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/index.php\/help-center\/administrator-admin-reporter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Administrator<\/a><\/strong> role has extended rights:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>They can view <strong>all<\/strong> explorations of the client account, regardless of ownership or guest status.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>They can assign themselves as the owner of any exploration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">II-The explorations tab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">List of explorations<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>In the <em>Explorations<\/em> tab of the Reporter module, you\u2019ll find a list of all Explorations to which you have access. A search bar lets you filter them by name.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Available actions depend on your rights:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Guests<\/strong> can open the exploration and view its history.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Owners<\/strong> can also modify or delete the exploration.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Clicking <strong>Open<\/strong> gives you access to the data in table format, based on the linked data source.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Note: limits are managed in the client account settings, in the Maker. See the dedicated article <a href=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/index.php\/help-center\/limits-client-account-settings\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/index.php\/help-center\/limits-client-account-settings\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">here<\/a>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1461\" height=\"537\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Capture-de\u0301cran-2025-06-17-a\u0300-14.54.26.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5107\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Creating an exploration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>To create a new Exploration, click <strong>+ <\/strong>CREATE. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"481\" height=\"581\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Capture-de\u0301cran-2025-06-17-a\u0300-15.06.19.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5109\" style=\"width:450px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019ll be invited to configure the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Name<\/strong> of the Exploration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Type<\/strong>: choose between\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Preconfigured KPIs<\/em> (available only for a selection of data sources)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>From scratch<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Data source<\/strong> to use<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Users<\/strong> to invite as guests<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Once created, the Exploration will be accessible from the list.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Working with an exploration<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Explorations display your data in columns, which you can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Reorganize<\/strong> via drag-and-drop (<em>note: this is not persistent if you refresh the page<\/em>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Configure<\/strong> each column via the cogwheel icon (<em>not persistent<\/em>):\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Filter the column<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Hide the column (owner only)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Rename the column (owner only)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"599\" height=\"49\" src=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/06\/Capture-de\u0301cran-2025-06-17-a\u0300-15.07.05.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5110\" style=\"width:500px\"\/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You can also:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Add columns<\/strong> by clicking the top-right cogwheel icon and selecting <em>Add column<\/em>s<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Export data<\/strong>, if your Role includes export rights<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Duplicate<\/strong> an exploration (includes its content and partitioning, but not the user rights)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">III-KPIs tab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>KPIs (Key Performance Indicators) provide a graphical way to track and visualize relevant metrics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udc49 For more information, see the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/index.php\/help-center\/kpis-explorations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dedicated KPIs article<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">IV-Scheduled reports tab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Scheduled reports allow you to receive Exploration data via email at regular intervals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\ud83d\udc49 For details, refer to the <a href=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/index.php\/help-center\/scheduled-reports\/\" data-type=\"link\" data-id=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/index.php\/help-center\/scheduled-reports\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Scheduled reports article<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">V-User rights tab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>This tab shows all users who have access to the exploration.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you are the <strong>owner<\/strong>, you can modify other users\u2019 permissions, adding (using a search bar) or removing guests or co-owners.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">VI-Partitioning tab<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Partitioning lets you filter the data by restricting which column values are displayed.
