Grids are built and maintained in the&nbsp;<strong>Maker<\/strong>, then made available to supervisors and managers, who use them from the&nbsp;<strong>Quality Management<\/strong>&nbsp;module to score interactions, write comments and follow up on agent performance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>This article focuses on how to&nbsp;<strong>build<\/strong>&nbsp;a grid. Each level can be weighted with a&nbsp;<strong>coefficient<\/strong>&nbsp;so that the total score reflects the relative importance of each topic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Level<\/th><th>Description<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Category<\/strong><\/td><td>Top-level container of the grid (e.g. &#8220;Greeting&#8221;, &#8220;Discovery&#8221;, &#8220;Closing&#8221;).<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Section<\/strong><\/td><td>Optional subdivision of a category, used to group related questions.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Subtopic<\/strong><\/td><td>Optional subdivision of a section, for finer breakdowns.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Question<\/strong><\/td><td>The actual evaluation criterion. Building the grid content<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Once the grid is created, you build its content from the grid&#8217;s detail page by adding categories, sections, subtopics and questions. The left-hand navigation reflects the grid hierarchy in real time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-1-adding-a-category\">2.1. Adding a category<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From the grid detail page, click&nbsp;<strong>Add a category<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill in the following fields:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Field<\/th><th>Description<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Name<\/strong><\/td><td>Name of the category (e.g. &#8220;Greeting&#8221;, &#8220;Discovery&#8221;, &#8220;Closing&#8221;).<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Description<\/strong><\/td><td>Optional description.<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Coefficient<\/strong><\/td><td>Weight of the category in the total score. Adding a subtopic<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Subtopics are optional and can be used to break a section down further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>From a section, click&nbsp;<strong>Add a subtopic<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill in the&nbsp;<strong>Name<\/strong>, optional&nbsp;<strong>Description<\/strong>&nbsp;and&nbsp;<strong>Coefficient<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Add the subtopic<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"2-4-adding-a-question\">2.4. Adding a question<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Questions can be added to a section or to a subtopic. They are the actual criteria graded by the supervisor during the evaluation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Open the section or subtopic that should contain the question.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Click&nbsp;<strong>Add a question<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Fill in the following fields:<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-table\"><table class=\"has-fixed-layout\"><thead><tr><th>Field<\/th><th>Description<\/th><\/tr><\/thead><tbody><tr><td><strong>Title<\/strong><\/td><td>Wording of the question (e.g. &#8220;Did the advisor introduce themselves?&#8221;).<\/td><\/tr><tr><td><strong>Notation scale<\/strong><\/td><td>Number of points for the question, for example&nbsp;<strong>10<\/strong>&nbsp;for a score out of 10. Editing or deleting an element<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Categories, sections, subtopics and questions can be edited, duplicated or deleted at any time:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>To&nbsp;<strong>edit<\/strong>&nbsp;an element, click the&nbsp;<strong>Edition mode<\/strong>&nbsp;button on the corresponding card, change the values, then click&nbsp;<strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To&nbsp;<strong>duplicate<\/strong>&nbsp;an element, use the&nbsp;<strong>Copy<\/strong>&nbsp;action.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>To&nbsp;<strong>delete<\/strong>&nbsp;an element, use the&nbsp;<strong>Delete<\/strong>&nbsp;action. Deleting a category, section or subtopic also deletes everything it contains.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Important: when a grid that is already in use is modified (a question added, the notation scale or a coefficient changed), the impact on existing evaluations is described in&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/index.php\/help-center\/evaluations-use-them\/\"><em>Evaluations \u2013 Use them<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"3-making-the-grid-available-to-evaluators\">3. Making the grid available to evaluators<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">A grid is only visible from the Quality Management module once it has been associated with the evaluators&#8217;&nbsp;<strong>user profile<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>In the Maker, open the user profile in&nbsp;<strong>Users<\/strong>&nbsp;&gt;&nbsp;<strong>User profiles<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Open the&nbsp;<strong>Evaluation grids<\/strong>&nbsp;tab and click&nbsp;<strong>Add evaluation grids<\/strong>.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Select the grids the profile is allowed to use, then confirm.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: a profile can be associated with several grids \u2014 for example, one grid per business activity. Only the grids associated with the profile will appear in the grid selector when an evaluator creates a new evaluation. The other prerequisites for an evaluator (the&nbsp;<strong>Access evaluations<\/strong>&nbsp;option and the evaluation rights) are detailed in&nbsp;<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/help.ino.cx\/index.php\/help-center\/evaluations-use-them\/\"><em>Evaluations \u2013 Use them<\/em><\/a><em>.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"4-how-the-total-score-is-calculated\">4. How the total score is calculated<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Every score in the grid is computed on a&nbsp;<strong>0\u2013100<\/strong>&nbsp;basis, regardless of the notation scales used.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Each&nbsp;<strong>answer<\/strong>&nbsp;is first converted to a percentage of its own scale:&nbsp;<em>note \u00d7 100 \u00f7 scale<\/em>&nbsp;(so 7\/10 and 70\/100 give the same value).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The score of a&nbsp;<strong>section<\/strong>,&nbsp;<strong>subtopic<\/strong>&nbsp;or&nbsp;<strong>category<\/strong>&nbsp;is the&nbsp;<strong>weighted average<\/strong>&nbsp;of the elements it contains, using their&nbsp;<strong>coefficients<\/strong>&nbsp;as weights.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The&nbsp;<strong>total score<\/strong>&nbsp;of the grid is the weighted average of its categories, on \/100.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>Note: only the&nbsp;<strong>relative<\/strong>&nbsp;weight of coefficients matters. Coefficients of 1, 2, 1 give the same result as 25, 50, 25.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"4-good-practices\">5. Good practices<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Keep&nbsp;<strong>category and section names<\/strong>&nbsp;short and recognisable \u2014 they appear in the evaluation form filled in by the supervisor.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use&nbsp;<strong>coefficients<\/strong>&nbsp;consistently across grids so total scores can be compared between teams or activities.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Use a&nbsp;<strong>uniform notation scale<\/strong>&nbsp;(for example \/10 on every question) to make the total score easy to read.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Build a dedicated grid per business activity rather than one large generic grid \u2014 it keeps each evaluation short and focused.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Test a new grid on a few recordings before associating it with the whole team&#8217;s profile.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>[Reading time: 5 minutes] Overview An&nbsp;evaluation grid&nbsp;defines the criteria used to assess your advisors on their voice recordings.
