Overview<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Databases<\/em> module in the Maker allows you to create and manage custom data tables that can later be used across INO cx, including Smart Routing, CRM imports, and Workflows. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

This article explains how to create a database, configure its structure, and manage entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Access the databases module<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Open the Maker and navigate to Databases<\/strong>. You will land on the list of all existing databases.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From this list, you can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    \n
  • Search by database name<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Search by tags<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Open a database<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Duplicate a database<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • View its history<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • View its dependencies<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Manage tags<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Edit the database<\/li>\n\n\n\n
  • Delete the database<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    A Create<\/strong> button at the top allows you to add a new database.
    A cogged wheel icon at the top of the page allows you to export databases. The export will be available under My account > My exports<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    2. Create a database<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    To create a database, click Create<\/strong> and provide a name. No other configuration is required at this stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    You can add one or more tags afterward. Tags must be created in the Tags<\/strong> module of the Maker.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    3. Open and configure a database<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

    Click Open<\/strong> on a database to access its columns.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    If no columns exist, you must add them using the cogged wheel icon and selecting Add a column<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    When creating a column, the following properties must be configured:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

      \n
    • Name<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • API name<\/strong> (manually defined, must be unique, accepts lowercase, uppercase, numbers, and _<\/code>)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Type<\/strong><\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Default value<\/strong> (optional)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Required<\/strong> (optional)<\/li>\n\n\n\n
    • Unique<\/strong> (optional)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

      3.1. Available column types<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
        \n
      • Short text<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Long text<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • URL<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Phone number<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Email address<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Numeric<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Date<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Date + time<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Time<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • Yes\/No<\/li>\n\n\n\n
      • List<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

        List values are managed in the Maker under Customized lists<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        3.2. Column actions<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        Each column has a cogged wheel icon to modify or delete it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        Clicking a column name sorts the entries.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

        3.3. Notes<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

        • If entries already exist, a newly created column cannot be set as required.<\/li>\n\n\n\n
        • Sorting and search are not available for custom list columns.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

          4. Database options<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

          At the top of the database, the cogged wheel<\/strong> menu includes:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            \n
          • Database entry import<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Download a CSV template<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Export database entries<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Add a column<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Add an entry<\/li>\n\n\n\n
          • Empty the database<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

            5. Manage entries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

            Each row in the database represents an entry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

            You can:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              \n
            • Duplicate an entry<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Modify it<\/li>\n\n\n\n
            • Delete it<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

              Deleting an entry is immediate and cannot be undone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              When adding a new entry, each column appears as a field to fill.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              Duplicating an entry copies all values, and you can edit them before saving.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

              6. Import entries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

              The Database entry import<\/strong> option allows you to upload data from a CSV file.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                \n
              • File size limit: 10 MB<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • Headers must be unique<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • You may select the delimiter<\/li>\n\n\n\n
              • You may choose whether valid data is imported if errors exist<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n

                Filters can be defined before launching the import.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                7. Export entries<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                You can apply filters before exporting entries.
                Exports are sent to My account > My exports<\/strong>.
                The file format is CSV.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                8. Empty a database<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

                The Empty the database<\/strong> option removes all entries but keeps the structure (columns).
                A confirmation step is required.
                This action is irreversible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
