Overview
This functionality allows you to transform the evaluations carried out from one of your evaluation grids into a data source, which can then be used to create an exploration, KPIs, etc.

The data source compiles all the evaluations recorded on the selected grid. It contains one column per question of that grid, holding the score given, so you can filter, sort, export and analyse your evaluation results alongside the rest of your INO CX data.
1. Prerequisites
For an overview of the Reporter, please consult this article.
The evaluation grid must have been created and configured beforehand in the Maker, and evaluations must have been saved with that grid for data to be displayed.
You also need the following permissions:
- Access to the Reporter.
- The right to create, edit and delete data sources.
- The right to export.
Note: the number of data sources you can create is limited per platform. The corresponding limit is ‘Number of data sources’.
2. Using evaluations as a data source
2.1 Access this feature
To access this feature, go to the Reporter, click on the ‘Data sources‘ module and then select the ‘Evaluation‘ category.
2.2 Create the data source
Click on ‘Create‘, then fill in the form:
- Name: required, 255 characters maximum.
- Description: optional, 255 characters maximum.
- Data source type: keep ‘Internal‘.
- Origin of the data source: select ‘Evaluations‘.
- Evaluation grid.
Click on ‘Add the data source‘ to finish.
Note: you can create several data sources on the same grid, and two data sources can carry the same name.
Note: the grid you select cannot be changed afterwards. To analyse another grid, create a new data source.
Open the data source you have just created. The evaluations are displayed in columns: one column per question of the grid, plus the default columns added by the Reporter (see the Columns section below).
3. Using the evaluation data
3.1 Select the period
When you open the data source, only the evaluations recorded during the current day are displayed. To analyse another period, change the filter on the ‘Evaluation date‘ column in the side panel, which opens automatically.
Note: for this type of data source, the filter on the evaluation date is always applied. It can be changed, but not removed.
3.2 Filter the data
Click on ‘Add filter‘ to restrict the evaluations displayed further. The number of results is updated accordingly.
The question columns hold scores, so they accept the numeric syntax: a simple value (15), an interval (20-40), a comparison (>17), or a combination of these (<=6,15,20-40).
A filter can be locked as a default filter so that it is applied every time the data source is opened.
3.3 Adjust the columns
On each column header, three actions are available:
- Filter the column
- Modify (rename) the column
- Hide the column
Columns can also be reordered by drag and drop. To display a column you had hidden, click on the cogwheel at the top right, then ‘Add columns‘.
Note: on the data source interface, renaming, hiding and reordering are not kept. To save your modifications, save the data source as an exploration.
3.4 Resynchronize the columns
When a question is added to the grid in the Maker, the corresponding column is not added automatically to the existing data sources. Click on the cogwheel at the top right, then ‘Resynchronize columns‘. The interface indicates the number of columns that have been added, or informs you that there is nothing new to add.
This feature is linked to the ‘Modification’ permission in the role.
Note: resynchronization only adds the missing columns. A question renamed in the grid keeps its former name as a column name, and the column of a question deleted from the grid is kept, with the answers already recorded.
3.5 Use the data
You have several options:
- Export the data (on the cogwheel): choose the decimal separator, a point or a comma, then confirm. The export is generated in the background. It becomes available on the ‘Exports‘ module after a few moments. Only one export can be generated at a time.
- Save as an exploration (floppy disk): your current filters and columns are saved as a new exploration, which you can then use in the ‘Exploration‘ module and on your dashboards.
Note: on an exploration built on an evaluation data source, the key performance indicators must be created from scratch, since no indicator template is offered for this type of data source.
3.6 Modify or delete the data source
From the tile of a data source, in the ‘Data sources‘ module:
- ‘Modify‘ allows you to change the name and the description. The type, the origin and the linked grid cannot be modified.
- ‘History‘ displays the creations and modifications recorded on the data source.
- ‘Delete‘ removes the data source permanently.
Note: a data source used by an exploration cannot be deleted. The button is then unavailable. Delete the explorations built on it first.
3.7 Columns
Here are the details for each column.
- Evaluation ID: the unique ID of the evaluation.
- Evaluation date: the date and time the evaluation was recorded.
- User: the person who carried out the evaluation in the Banner, and not the agent who was evaluated.
Every other column corresponds to a question of the grid, and carries the name of that question. It holds the score given to that question, displayed as a plain number.
Note: a question that the evaluator did not fill in displays 0. A cell is empty only when the question was added to the grid after the evaluation was recorded.
Note: the categories, sections and headings of the grid produce no column, and neither do the coefficients, the scales, the overall score and the comments.
